Prof. Alan Harvey with the shortlisted participants

On March 14th, the DCU postgraduate communication competition "Tell it Straight" took place in the Helix. Ten postgraduate students, shortlisted from across all disciplines in DCU, presented their research in a non-specialist manner to a general audience. There were two categories, oral and video presentations.

There was great representation from BDI postgraduate students at the event with Daniel Kirby, Adam Murphy and Anna-Marie Greaney presenting in the oral presentation category and Milena Rowinska and Ruairi Monaghan presenting in the video category.

Ruairi Monaghan won first place with his video "One size fits all, a surface for every sickness" and Adam Murphy won runner-up with his oral presentation "An Hourglass for Cancer".

Congratulations to all those who participated.
