BDI features in Irish Times


Irish Times journalist Dr. Claire O'Connell reported on the International Workshop on Nanotechnology-enabled Sensors & Diagnostics hosted by the Biomedical Diagnostics Institute on June 4th & 5th last. The workshop sought to strengthen ties between DCU, the University of Ulster and Cornell. It identified overlapping areas where researchers could work together on “near patient” applications. In particular, personalised cancer diagnosis and microfluidic platforms were deemed two obvious areas where the groups could collaborate and apply to large funding agencies in the US and Europe.
